Abstrakt Rozdziału:
The digital transformation of the world of work represents a considerable challenge to the effective protection of workers’ privacy. New technologies and emerging working models are putting the legal frameworks under unprecedented strain and exposing conceptual and operational gaps in the ongoing regulatory responses. The aim of this chapter is to capture the essence of the relevant regulatory deficiencies in the European system of protection of the right to privacy, which is particularly rich when it comes to its formal guarantees and complex when it comes to institutional settings. In doing so the author attempts to invite a more comprehensive discussion on the future orientations for protecting this right in an era of rapid technological progress and societal change.
